Ayurvedic pain and cold balms from the brands that have been making them for generations.

This is a category where the Indian formulations are the originals and the international versions are often weaker. The active ingredients are usually menthol, camphor, eucalyptus and wintergreen in varying proportions, and the Indian products tend to run at higher concentrations than what is sold as an equivalent abroad.
Read the strength rather than the brand. The same name can cover a mild rub for children and a strong formulation meant for muscle pain, and the difference is on the label rather than the front of the tin.
These are topical products for temporary relief of minor aches and congestion. They are not treatment for an injury or an illness, they should not go on broken skin or near eyes, and camphor-containing balms are not suitable for infants. If pain persists, that is a question for a doctor rather than a stronger balm.
