Two things dominate here and neither travels well as a Western dupe. Multani mitti is fuller's earth, a clay mined in Rajasthan and used as a drawing mask for oily skin. Ubtan is a mixed powder, usually gram flour with turmeric, sandalwood and rose, that predates the modern cosmetics industry and is still made at home for weddings.
Powder formats are the ones worth importing. They weigh little, cannot leak, have long shelf lives, and you mix only what you need with water, milk or rose water. Ready-mixed pastes in jars are heavier, more fragile in transit and shorter lived, so buy those locally where you can.
Turmeric stains. On fair skin a heavy ubtan can leave a faint yellow cast for a day, and it will certainly stain a light towel or basin. Kasturi turmeric is the non-staining variety and worth looking for if that matters. Patch test anything with a long herb list before putting it on your face.
