Sizing is the thing that goes wrong most often, because Indian bangles are sold by internal diameter in a numbered system rather than by small, medium and large. The common sizes run from about 2.2 to 2.10, which are inch measurements read as two-point-two and two-point-ten, not decimals. Measure across the widest part of your hand with the thumb tucked in and match that to the diameter on the listing.
A kada is the heavier, rigid form, traditionally worn singly, and it is the one where weight matters most: a solid silver kada is substantial and the listing weight tells you more than the photograph does. Thin bangles are usually sold in sets and are meant to be worn in numbers.
Oxidised silver is deliberately darkened so the detail reads. It is not tarnish and it should not be polished bright, though the raised surfaces will naturally lighten with wear.
