The traditions worth recognising: kundan sets glass or stones into a gold foil bed and is the Rajasthani bridal style; temple work comes from the south and carries deity motifs in heavy plating; polki uses uncut diamonds and is the expensive end. Oxidised silver is the everyday counterpart, deliberately darkened so the detail reads.
Most pieces here are sterling silver or gold plated rather than solid gold, and the listing states which. For a bridal or occasion set, check the drop length against something you already own: Indian sets are often longer than they photograph, and a haar that sits wrong is hard to alter.
