Foliar Application of fertilizers is useful in correcting nutrient deficiencies in leaves and fruits . Foliar Application refers to spraying of fertilizer solution on foliage of plant. Normally these fertilizer solution are prepared in low concentration ( 2 to 3 % ) usually to supply plant nutrients. This method is an effective tool for correcting nutrient deficiency. It also plays vital role in nutrient management when soil properties are not suitable for continuous and sufficient supply of nutrients. Most of the plants absorb major portion of most of the nutrients through their roots. However , same quantity of nutrients can be absorbed by plants through their vegetative parts mainly leaves.
