Chhota Bheem In Dholakpur To Katmandu by Darsana Radhakrishnan is the book version of the popular award-winning children’s animated film of the same name. Conceptualised and written by the author, this story follows Bheem and his friends from Varanasi to Kathmandu, Nepal, where they have all been invited to spend their vacations by Jaggu the monkey’s cousin. On their way, they make a new friend, Aadit, and encounter an injured monk with a mysterious bundle that he hands to Bheem with the words ‘Save Mi-goi’. Laden with the task to drop the precious bundle safely to its destination, while trying to save themselves from a pack of evil jaguars and a rampaging ape, Bheem and his friends find themselves in the midst of another exciting and action-packed adventure. Bheem is a nine-year-old character from the fictitious town of Dholakpur, whose popularity with children lies in his love for laddoos, his compassion for the downtrodden, and his immense strength and bravery. H is also loved because of his heroic defense of his friends and townsfolk from negative elements, like bullies and demons who trouble them at regular intervals.
