Extech’s DT40M Laser Distance Meter measures distance ranging from 2” to 131ft (0.05 to 40m). The DT40M can also calculate area and volume, and take indirect spatial measurements using the integrated Pythagorean theorem. Additional features include continuous measurement with Min/Max distance tracking, a 20-point memory, addition/subtraction of sequential readings, front and rear edge reference, and a stakeout function to accurately mark distances between studs. A large backlit LCD display and double molded housing makes the DT40M laser meter easy to use in low-light environments and strong enough to handle the rigors of everyday use.
