A collection of essays that are informative, entertaining and useful to readers of all ages in all walks of life. H. Kishie Singh has been writing a column on motoring in The Tribune, Chandigarh dedicated to good motoring. The column, in its 24 th year, is the longest running column on motoring in the country. This book is a compilation of select columns from his vast writings over the years. In addition to the columns there are interesting and intriguing essays of his driving adventures and journeys around the globe that are sometimes stranger than fiction. About the Author Kishie Singh did his schooling from Bishop Cotton School, Shimla and graduation from St. Stephens College, Delhi University. After a brief stint with Air India, he joined an International Company. His postings took him to Bangkok, Geneva and Montreal. In Montreal he worked as a free lance photo-journalist for The National Film Board of Canada, and numerous newspapers papers and magazines. In 1975 he moved back to India. Currently he is based in Chandigarh and is a well known journalist. His column „Good Motoring‟ in The Tribune is the longest running motoring column in the country. It has had an uninterrupted run for 23 years. During this time he has amassed 650 columns. The focus of his writings is his concern for the chaos, confusion and the lack of safety on Indian roads, resulting in the highest road fatality rate in the world. The idea is to create an awareness amongst all road users that discipline is necessary to bring order on Indian roads. Informatively, in January of 2017, the Indian Chapter of the Geneva based International Road Federation has honoured him for his journalistic contribution to Road Safety. Kishie has also co- authored a book, „ Whispering Deodars‟ with H.H. The Dalai Lama, Khushwant Singh, Ruskin Bond and Rahul Singh.
