About the Author: Devipriya Mukherjee, a versatile individual, is an educator, artisan, and prolific writer who embraces life's myriad facets, from history and heritage to nature, food, art, and literature. Born and raised in Kolkata, the 'City of Joy,' she has travelled through Delhi and Abu Dhabi, and finally, Mumbai in 2008. Her professional path meandered from a systems role at NIIT, to nurturing her handicraft business, Priyadarshini Dolls, allowing her to devote more time to her children. In 2013, she rekindled her teaching career, joining Billabong High International School in Mumbai, while continuing her handicraft venture. With two working daughters, Devipriya's academic background in science coexists with her passion for the written word. Her literary journey evolved from childhood favorites like Enid Blyton and Ruskin Bond to classics by the Bronte sisters and Dickens, and later expanded with the introduction of authors such as Marquez, Murakami, and Kafka, courtesy of her daughters.
