This 10-inch standard cartridge uses a 150 micron mesh screen to reduce large sand, grit and sediment particles, making it an ideal first-stage pre-filter that helps protect your plumbing and your finer downstream filters. The 150 micron screen is bonded to a sturdy polypropylene support cage and fitted with removable end caps. That means you can take it apart, rinse trapped sediment from inside and outside the cartridge, and reuse it many times instead of replacing it on every cycle. Designed to pair best with Pentair OMNIFilter OB1, WH5, U24, U25 and U30 standard systems, it also fits 10" x 2.5" standard housings from other major brands. Suitable for both city and well water. Clean the screen about every 3 months, or sooner if water pressure or quality drops, and replace it once the mesh can no longer be cleaned.
