Coated threads, Loctite 55 threads, have been developed to replace the glue, hemps, and tapes normally used. They instantly seal (regardless of temperature) domestic and industrial piping systems during assembly. Seals can be safely made on copper, brass, stainless steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, chrome, and nickel-plated parts. Supplied in a convenient, pocket-sized, fully protective container with an integrated cutter. WRAS approved material for use with potable water up to 130°C. Approved by WRAS BS EU standards BS 6920. For use on domestic and industrial piping systems during assembly, drinking or loss of water (hot or cold), gas, or compressed air. Suitable for brass, copper, stainless steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, chrome, and nickel-plated parts. Size 160 mm. Temperature range 130°C.
