Dr Ganesh Kamalakar Vernekar currently working as Chief Medical Officer in DMHS, GOI, Dadra and Nagar haveli, Daman, Diu, India. He is distinguished medical professional with extensive qualifications. Presently he is pursuing his MD from KMCRI, Hubli. He has served in central government public facilities, where he along with the expansion of health care facilities, played a pivotal role in community health initiative. He got National level awards like ‘Chikitsak Ratan Award’, ‘Glory of India Award’, ‘Med-Achiever’s Award’ from Union Health Ministers, ‘Dr C T Thakkar Award’ & ‘Best Community Service Award’ from IMA, New Delhi. Dr Vernekar also received prestigious “21st Century Emily Dickinson Award” for his first poetry collection book “Rhymes and Rhythms of Heart Part 1”. This is his first book “Pickles of Life” which is a collection of stories intended to motivate and encourage the persons surrounded by the problems, stressed, depressed to fight back and get success just like Pickles in food plate stimulating and increasing the appetite.
