With the super smooth, tempered glass plate that measures 5 1/8in wide x 11 7/8in long and a full 3/8in thick, you’ll be able to sharpen the vast majority of tools in your workshop. To properly hone your tools, you need an abrasive material. While you could always use an expensive wet stone or an even more expensive diamond stone, the SCOTTCHEN Dead Flat Plate Glass utilizes traditional sandpaper to achieve the same result at a fraction of the cost. Our product also includes a rubber mat that is designed to help keep the glass plate from sliding while you sharpen your tools and accessories. The mat is cut to be slightly larger than the glass plate. It can be used over and over again and when it gets too much build up of dirt and debris, simply clean it with warm soapy water
