DOES SCULPEY PREMO DRY OUT? Sculpey Premo will not dry out from air exposure. It only hardens when baked. Store unused clay in an airtight container to keep it clean and fresh. HOW TO SOFTEN SCULPEY PREMO: If Premo becomes too firm, soften it by using a conditioning machine, mixing with clay softener or softer clay, processing in a food processor, or rolling it inside a plastic bag. BAKING INSTRUCTIONS: Bake at 275°F (130°C) for 30 minutes per 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness. Do not microwave or exceed recommended baking time or temperature. Protect your workspace using an oven-safe mat, wax paper, baking sheet, or foil to prevent damage from uncured clay.
