The Battle for Sanskrit: Is Sanskrit Political or Sacred, Oppressive or Liberating, Dead or Alive? This book investigates about the conflict between Western and Traditional view points of 'Sanskrit’, the language and 'Sanskriti’, i.e. culture. The book depicts the overriding Western research, mostly the revolutionary accusations that the Sanskrit legacy has been a political weapon for communal coercion. The Indian English-language influential people have manifested these uneven ideologies and incorporated them into several conventional institutions. The book is a bit controversial yet attentive. The book intends to put forward a set of heated discussions for the scholars related to the social, political, historical and modern aspects of Indian Sanskrit. About the author: Rajiv Malhotra (born in September 1950), is an Indian-American author and Hindu activist who was once in the computer and telecom industry and took early retirement and formed The Infinity Foundation, the main focus of which is Indic studies and theories. The foundation endorses a non-western and nationalistic view on India and Hinduism.
