Dhubri, a small border town. Upen Rajkhowa, a District Judge at the verge of his retirement, joins the Dhubri Court as his last place of posting. A year later, when Barada Sharma, a close relative and a high ranking police officer of Assam visits them, he finds the family missing. The initial investigations reveal that after the Judge's retirement, the family went for a vacation and became untraceable. And thus begins a trail of events that lead the officer and his subordinates to one of the most horrific cases in the history of Assam. Where did the family go? Was it only a missing case or there was something more to it, something more sinister? Written in two parallel timelines, set in the 1970s, the book narrates the shocking, scary and scandalous story of 'THE RAJKHOWA MURDERS'
