Through this book, I aim to convey a significant message. With 25 years of experience as a photographer, I've noticed that many people feel self-conscious in front of the camera. Later, as a coach and after experiencing negative self-talk and a poor self-image myself following motherhood, I understood the importance of addressing this issue, particularly for future generations. My solution is not to abandon photography. Instead, I advocate for the use of self-portraits, a method many ancient artists employed to express their stories through a more loving and self-expressive medium. Self-portraits focus on how we feel in a picture, whereas selfies focus on how we look. I find it crucial to discuss this now as we enter the world of artificial intelligence.
