Throughout the story, I kept making guesses about the mystery, and every single time, I was wrong. The suspense kept me hooked from beginning to end. As I reached the final pages, I started to predict part of the truth, but the actual twist still shocked me. I even went back and reread some pages because I thought I had misunderstood something. The revelation was both surprising and unforgettable. Although I was hoping for a different ending, I still enjoyed the book overall. I also wished there had been more clarity and closure regarding certain events and characters. Nevertheless, the suspense, psychological depth, and unexpected plot twist made it a highly engaging and memorable read.

I just completed this and I donno what to say I'm out of words. I feel like the last page/pages have been ripped from the copy I was reading.Is it? My copy ended with Theo catching the snowflake. Is that how the book really ended?!! To those who wonder what is this book and what is this book is about, I guess almost everyone around here have read this, this being the most sensational book and everyone was recommending or talking/talked about it, I now get what the whole fuss the book is about. There are two main people in this story, Alicia Berenson and Theo Faber. Alicia, a famous artist hasn't spoken a single word after she shot her husband five times in the head. She is proven guilty and now is in mental institution. Theo Faber, a psychotherapist joins the same institution with the main intention of helping Alicia to make her speak. This is the storyline and we may have some questions like why did Alicia shot her husband, why Theo want to help Alicia. I even had tye doubt whether she was the one who really shot her husband and much more. This book was a complete psychological thriller and as a result of reading many psycho thrillers, I kinda guessed the non- linear timeline going on which is the main factor for the book to make it as a page-turner. Not only that, even in the same timeline the book was going interesting without lagging anywhere, literally there were no lagging at all. And the plot was in a steady pace along with giving us the thriller vibes. I totally loved the writing, the author has maintained a correct pace without bragging much, without spoiling the thrill. With all these things, it made a quite good, psychological thriller. For every crime, every psychic actions, I believe there would be some starting point, something that get triggered, someone to blame with, but in this I couldn't find one. I am astonished that how some action of others affect ye in the deepest manner that no one ever imagine. Also, I get it that each and every moment and second in our life play crucial part in moulding us who we were, are and would be. As a fan of psychological thrillers, this book will always tops and remain my favorite!

🌟THE SILENT PATIENT by ALEX MICHAELIDES is a thriller which includes the Greek tragedy of Alcestis in its plot. The story is set in London and is about Theo Faber, the psychotherapist and Alicia Berenson, the patient who killed her husband. 🌟Alicia is an artist who has been silent for seven years after the murder and has only drawn a painting after the incident. Theo believes he could cure Alicia and make her talk again. In his attempts for the revival of Alicia's humanity, he discovers many truths which leads to other revelations. 🌟It is a smartly written thriller and you won't put the book down until it is finished. I read it in two days along with my daily chores, and I didn't regret choosing this book. It has been a while since I bought any new books and this gift to myself was worthy. 🌟Though I loved the book very much, the climax of the novel reminded me of a British- Canadian mystery thriller film which I saw a few years ago and the uncredited Malayalam remake of the same. I have read reviews stating the plot twists were unpredictable. In my case, I was not mind blown or was not shocked by the great plot twists because of the slight similarities they had with the aforementioned movies. 🌟It was a decent thriller and the author has became a promising one from his debut itself. The neatly crafted novel with intricate psychological details increases the curiosity each time we turn the page. After reading one section we will make an assumption about a character and in the next section, the author will shatter those assumptions impeccably. 🌟It is alarming and thought provoking how the abuses and atrocities we face as a child could dangerously follow you to the future. Each characters of the novel are shaped well and has successfully imbibed to the story. 🌟Irrelevant characters and incidents used to deviate readers attention and make them assume what the twist could be are common in thrillers and the absence of the same in this book makes it a breath of fresh air. If you are a person who loves thrillers, the silent patient is the one must not be missed!

The Silent Patient is one of those books that keeps you guessing until the very end. The story is gripping, the characters feel real, and the final twist genuinely caught me off guard. It’s a slow burn at times, but the suspense makes it worth reading. Definitely a memorable psychological thriller. Also the book quality is too good .

“Only she knows what happened. Only I can make her speak.” These words were enough to draw my attention to this book. When I got my hands on it, I didn’t have many expectations. Given the hype, I kept myself grounded because I didn’t want to be let down. I was not very invested in the beginning but after some time it was hard to keep the book aside. It was an amazing experience reading this book. “The Silent Patient” is masterfully written, and I have to say I’m not disappointed. It was thrilling, mind-boggling, and pretty intense, to be honest. I lived through the book, and it left me in awe in the end. Alicia Berenson the woman who murdered her husband and went silent after that, was taken to a mental hospital afterwards. No one could make her talk and with the time people lost interest in her. She was invisible in the hospital. Until one day Theo Faber joined the hospital as a Psychotherapist, who becomes obsessed with Alicia’s silence trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery. As much as he delves into Alicia’s life and uncovers many hidden aspects, he finds himself trapped in the web of obsession and Unexpected twists. Alex Michaelides has crafted this book. He weaved the story very neatly with precision and quality. It was an absolute page-turner that kept me hanging in there, thinking “Okay what’s next now”. The writing is sharp and compelling, it has great depth and it is very intriguing Which kept me hooked until the last page. The definition of unexpected twist I have to say. I was particularly drawn to the book’s dual narrative. Despite the alternating perspectives between Alicia’s diary and Theo’s narration, the continuity of the story was effectively maintained. This contributed to a consistent sense of suspense and tension throughout the book. It was written very meticulously. I loved how it explores the themes of trauma, trust and obsession. And also how it deeply explored art, Psychology and the human psyche. Overall it was a thought-provoking and gripping story that kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s a must-read for people who love psychological thrillers and love a well-written twisty tale.

Came in a good condition....pages covers everything is intact One of the best thriller books I have ever read....the ending was absolutely unexpected....the starting May seems a little bit boring but the last few pages is worth it....at the twist i literally closed the book and stared at the wall to process everything Highly highly recommending this book to you... it's a 11/10 book for me...enjoy!!!

Got a original book, but the plot doesn't keep the viewer hook that much and when it comes to story. 'Its about a girl who's name is "Alicia", one night she unalive her husband and don't speak a word after that incident, then our main character comes "Theo" who is a psychotherapist who wants to help Alicia tell the truth and speak, the plot twist at the end is good'. Its a good read for those who are new to psychological genre but if you are like me who watches many psychological anime/TV shows then most probably you will guess the plot early in the story, it only took me 100 pages to guess the whole plot twist. Its pretty slow paced and takes time to develop the character for that ending plot twist, still its a good read solid 4/5.

Wow ! The plot twist !!!! I didn't saw it was coming... So good, just mind-blowing... Kept me awake till late night... Good pacing and story writing saw so so good.
