Ecokins sustainable plush toys are made from 100% used recycled PET water bottles and recycled paper to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. First, the water bottles are shredded, cleaned, disinfected and melted. Then the fibers are spun into an ultra-soft fabric yarn. The fabric, the fibre filling and the threads are made from this recycled material. It is incredible how soft and cuddly this plush toy feels considering that it was made from water bottles. Thanks to the embroidered eyes and nose made from recycled threads, they prove to be a safe soft toy for babies. We also use tags made from recycled paper printed with soy-based ink and cotton cords instead of plastic. Wild Republic goes one step further by using biodegradable mailers. Ecokins 12" Zebra are made from 16 recycled water bottles. Ecokins is currently the only plush toy made from 100% recycled material.
