Improve the performance of new baffles or rewrap existing baffles/muffler tubes where matting has aged and burned out. Proper muffler maintenance can play a critical role in the overall performance of your machine. Over time, muffler packing slowly deteriorates which results in poor performance and higher noise levels than the muffler was designed to produce. Wear gloves and mask while handling Wet matting to shape/cut and prevent fiberglass from getting airborne Use tie steel wire or metal zip ties to secure on baffles Ensure tight fit when packing mufflers Warning! Prolonged and repeated exposure to fiber dust (Whether ceramic fiber or glass fiber) is suspected of causing cancer and other lung damage. May cause skin and eye irritation. Because the muffler mat is made of fiberglass, be sure to wear gloves, long sleeve clothing, and mask when installing and handling it. When you need to cut the mat, wet the mat with water.
