This is the category with the thinnest American supply and the clearest reason to import. Brass and panchdhatu idols, a properly weighted puja thali, an aarti bell that sounds right, kumkum and haldi that are the correct colour: US general retail does not carry these, and what it does carry is usually decorative rather than made for use.
Weight is the thing to plan around. Brass is dense, and a medium idol can weigh more than everything else in your basket combined, so shipping is priced accordingly and you will see it before you commit. Ordering several pieces together is almost always cheaper than ordering them one at a time.

- No. Camphor and oils are flammable and cannot travel by air. Incense sticks and cones are fine.
